Everything in life has a price.

Hugo and Julia are two high school students with separate dreams and goals, yet each share a passion for the futbol team, Pumas of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. For as long as he can remember, Hugo has dreamed of playing for the Pumas—a dream that often causes him to neglect his relationship with Julia, his studies, and above all the values upon which he was raised (which has profound effects on his relationship with his father). The intelligent and attractive Julia couldn’t be more different from Hugo; she has definite goals in life and always has the love and support of her family. In the end, they each will make sacrifices, but will their love and friendship survive?

From the new wave of Mexican filmmakers, director Victor Avelar, How Am I Not Going to Love You? looks at youth with a fresh perspective; not because their goals or dreams are any different, but that they are complex and intelligent individuals...they are real.
