Goodbye Baby

Running time: 87 mins

?Comedy is a socially acceptable form of hostility and aggression. That is what comics do, stand the world upside down.? ? George Carlin

When Melissa Brooks (Christine Evangelista, The Kill Point) discovers she can't afford to go to college, she moves to New York City and gets a job as a waitress in a comedy club. Aspiring to be a stand-up comic, but lacking the nerve, she scours the streets of New York for material and inspiration. From dealing with her gay brother's quarrels with his boyfriend to visiting Alcoholics Anonymous meetings just for the experience, she begins to learn what it takes to become a stand-up comic in New York City's legendary and unforgiving comedy club scene.

This whimsical yet poignant film delivers a stand-out performance from Evangelista as well as from veteran actors Alan Ruck (Ferris Bueller's Day Off), Jerry Adler (The Sopranos, The West Wing), and Kevin Corrigan (The Black Donnelly's, The Departed). Cameos from top comedians such as Donnell Rawlings (The Chappelle Show) and Sal ?The Stockbroker? Governale (The Howard Stern Show) add side-splitting humor to this memorable coming-of-age movie.
