In the living room of a suburban home, Liam Lombard lays dying. His family watches ? helpless. No warning. No signs. No time for goodbyes. Three years later the world of the four people who loved him most are inadvertently changed forever.

Jordan is a broken man, now hideously obese and unable to function. His wife Penelope is trapped in routine, devoid of self respect which has driven her into the arms of a younger man. Their surviving son Ben has developed a peculiar relationship with a local boy. Though an unlikely pair, a romance has begun to blossom. As Ben?s sexuality comes into question, he turns his attentions to Indigo, his dead brother?s former lover. Never quite the same since his death, her destructive relationship with a married man is fading. As Ben sets out to woo her in his own twisted fashion, Indigo comes to find he might be her one true friend.

The four soon come to realize what really died that day was not just Liam, but themselves. However, there is a light and hope begins to surface?
