Founders of Embrace have discovered a way to save newborn babies of low-birth rates or other unfortunate circumstances from hypothermia. Babies do not know how to react to cold so Embrace, recipient of The Tech Awards 2012 Nokia Health Award, provides mothers with low-cost infant warmers that provide them up to six hours of stable warmth. With this solution, at least seventy-five percent of the 1.1 million preterm babies that tragically die each year could be saved without the use of an incubator.
