Four hundred million people in India and 1.5 billion worldwide do not have access to reliable electricity. Simpa Networks found a solution that earned them the Accenture Sustainable Energy Award at The Tech Awards 2012. They established a solar home system that allows for families in off-grid areas to have an affordable, pay-as-you-use solar energy solution.
