A powerful inversion of the country boy in the big city. For a child, every day comes with adventure, yet adventure hits staggering stakes for Eda, a boy living through WWII in the cosmopolitan city of Prague. After revealing to his neighbors that his father was listening to foreign “traitor” radio, Eda and his family are evicted and left no choice but to move into his father’s childhood village home. It is here where Eda must navigate village life and connect with “foreign” children.
