Each year Cinequest has the privilege of watching many of the most exciting films from directors right in our own backyard. This year proved to have a record number of short films, with over forty, submitted from Bay Area artists, making it difficult but always rewarding to pick our favorites. This year's Bay Area Shorts series offers an eclectic mix of genres and stories from documentary to narrative and even the experimental--each using a particular style of its own while always maintaining a high level of artistic achievement.
