Cinequest is proud to present the World Premiere of The Scottish Tale, the dream of Mack and Joe Polhemus, two brothers who grew up in Palo Alto, CA. Their story is a contemporary, quirky, romantic comedy loosely based on Shakespeare's Macbeth. Mack, an introspective poet, loves his brother Ian's fiancee, Beth. On the day prior to the wedding, Mack's elderly, eccentric aunts prophesize that if three unusual events take place, Mack will marry Beth. Out of loyalty to his brother, Mack does his utmost to prevent these prophesies from coming true.
